Happy Sunday all! I am back in town and ready to share a new tutorial. I can't believe it is Almost Halloween. I finally mailed out my Halloween cards on Friday to some friends, now I just have to get my treat bags ready for my son's class.
But first let me share with you some items I made this week. I have been playing around with the little treat boxes I made. I came up with two more designs. Not sure that I like the cat one that much, but I do love the pumpkin! Yesterday we had our Quarterly Demo's meeting at my house. My upline, downline and sidelines were over for some stamping fun! We each make one project and teach the others how to recreate it. It was a blast, and I learned a lot of new things! However I won't be sharing their project her on my blog...If you want to see what we make you will have to join my team! Then you can either come to the meetings or if you are out of state... we will send you the projects!
For the meeting I made some treats. Unfortunately my camera eat my picture of my cupcakes. They were all decorated for Halloween with Batty for you images : (
But I can share the picture of my treat jar.
It is decorated with the Decor Elements Small Spooky Spider. I applied it to a large jar from Walmart, and used the top notes inside of the jar to highlight the image. The Spooky Spider image is only available through Halloween, and even though it is too late to receive it in time for this years festivites, you can get it for next year! Just e-mail me at girl_stamper@yahoo.com to order. Or click on the button to the right to order. Below you will find the ordering information.

Here is a picture of the top of the jar. I decorated it with the Batty for you stamp set and Scallop Circle punch.
This brings me finally to my tutorial for this week. The project uses my new favorite the Stampinup Top Notes Die! Check out the video tutorial.
Here is another verision using a paper bag instead of the cello bags!

I am still out of town. I'm not due back until tomorrow. For no Tutorial today either. But I did want to share a card that I made for a Demo only Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com.
I need an invitation for my son's Slumber party, so the color combo for the tutorial, Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke, and Kraft, was perfect. It had a definately masculine feel, which I needed for the card since it featured the Under the Stars Stamp set. Well here is the card, it is a pocket card so it has an insert. I stamped the bear on Kraft paper and cut him out and propped him up using dimensionals. Hope you enjoy the card!
Here is the card with the insert. Hope you had a good week!
I'm just stopping in for a minute. We are having a ball in Maui. We saw Dolphins playing in the ocean yesterday, and walked Lahania today. Friday we are going to take a Helicopter ride to Hana!
This evening we are laying low. We just cooked dinner on the Grill at our resort.
I went over to the Scor-Pal website and noticed that the new Magazine is up. I am one of the guest instructors this month. So be sure to go and check out the latest projects using the scor-pal and the scor-mat. Here is the link to the magazine! http://www.scor-pal.com/oct2_magazine/index.htm
I am actually on my way to Hawaii right now for my 15th Wedding Anniversary! So there will be no tutorial today.
I did want to tell all of you about the new Class I will be offering when I return. The class is on making a Tabletop Scrapbook. You will not want to miss this class! These Scrapbooks make great Holiday gifts.
The class will be held at my home on November 22nd. Because it uses a Simply Scrappin Kit of your choice, you must pre-register for the class by October 25th. Just e-mail me at girl_stamper.com to let me know that you will be attending, and let me know the name of the scrappin Kit you would like to use. I am also requiring that you prepay for the class and the fee is $25.00.
Can't make it to the class? Then you have two options. A) get a group of friends together and I will bring the class to you! or B) order the tutorial video for $5.00. The link for ordering is below:
Here are some cute treat boxes I came up with. please e-mail me at girl_stamper@yahoo.com if you are interested in the directions on how to make these. They are actually very quick and easy. You can make two boxes out of one sheet of 8.5 x11 piece of paper. The boxes are 2inches wide, and 3.5 inches deep then (see Dracula). Or you can use a piece of paper that is 8.5 x 6 to get a box that is 2 inches wide and 4 inches deep. (see Frankie and the mummy).
Unfortunately I will not be able to e-mail the instructions to you until October 21st, since I will be out of town.

Today's tutorial is about using a brayer to create a background. I used all Stampin up products. The base card is pumpkin pie with the sanded background. The glossy paper was brayered with summer sun and pumpkin pie, then stamped with pocket Silhouettes and the Hugs and Wishes Stamp set. I finished the card off with a layer of Chocolate Chip paper and the Chocolate Chip Taffeta ribbon.
This months Thank you cards for orders is a Halloween card using the Kiwi Kiss paper and ink. Here is a picture of the card, the the pop up technique that is inside. If you did not place an order this month, you can still purchase the step by step tutorial video for $5.00. Just click on the paypal icon below!
