Punched Medallions

Happy Sunday all,

Today I have a few projects to show you all and a tutorial so lets get started!.

First up I need a birthday card for my Aunt, and I wanted to use this lovely paper from Ginger Blossoms. So I decided to go with a panel card. I like how it turned out with the little pearls from the Pretty's kit and the Wonderful Favorites words. So now to the tutorial.

I will be punching out one of these shapes from the retired Western paper.
I used my scallop punch to punch it out.
Then I added a little adhesive to the back of the punched shape. then I patted the adhesive side on my pants to get rid of most of the stickiness. Then it is not permanent.
I added it to a piece of typing paper, since it is very thin.
I rotated my punch and punched the image out again with the scallop punch.
This makes a different shape with spikes instead of scallops!
Then I punched out a star from some more of the Western paper.

Once again I adhered it to some typing paper and rotated my star punch to make a new shape.
And her it is. It is now an 10 point star instead of an 5 point.
I punched a scallop circle out of really rust paper and used my dauber to add Really Rust ink around the edges.
And here is the medallion I made using the pieces I punched twice, and a small star and scallop circle.
And here is the medallion on the finished Father's day card.

Here is a card I made for a birthday party we attended yesterday. I used this old Stamp set to make inchies.
And lastly I found these clear rubber containers and decided to make them into recipe boxes. I used rub ons and paper to decorate them.
I used the From the Kitchen set to make tabs and recipe cards.

Have a fun Sunday! And a great holiday.

Circle Punch Spinner Card

Happy Sunday All!
Today I am going to show you how to make a spinner card using the Stampin up Circle Punches.
I'll be using the new stamp set I got from my Secret Sis, Lovely Labels.

First I stamped the Laugh stamp twice in Wild Wasabi and punched them both out with the

1 1/4 circle punch.

I then added glue to the back of one and placed a piece of ribbon down the center.

I then layered the other circle on top.

Then I made my base card

I used the 1 3/8 inch punch and punched a whole in the front of the card base.
This is what it looks like punched.
I cut a piece of paper to fit the back side that I had punched.
I held the second piece in place and punched a whole through it as well, to match the whole on the front
I removed the inside piece. And then I placed glue on the other side of the punched card front. Then I placed the circle punches with the thread on top.

Then I layered the inside punched piece on top and glued it into place.
Here is the finished card front, with the spinner part in place. I will wind it up before I put it into an envelope to mail. Then when it is taken out of the card it will spin around.
Here is the finished card.
During this weekend, I also found a frame that I though would be perfect for a picture of my husband and son.
I then placed a rub on the front. Here is the finished frame.

I also worked on a gift for my son's teacher. I made 7 cards using the Blossom die cuts and the Simply Summer Scrapping Kit.
I also used the rub ons from the occasions mini.
I also had a tin that I had gotten a few months ago at Stampology in Chicago.
I used the paper and stickers from the summer scrapping kit

I also used the rub-ons on the envelopes.

Happy Mother's Day Card

Hello all,

I am going to show you all how I create my Mom's mother's day card. First I took one of the Carousel Notes and cut it in half.
Here it is in 1/2
Then I cut one half in half.
by cutting it in half I get 4 pieces total.

I
This is the pick a petal stencil.it works great with the carousel notes, so here I am dry embossing the notes
Here is the piece embossed.
I then turned it over and pierced it along the edge.
Here is the finished piece.

Here is my card covered with the afternoon tea paper.
I have a strip of groovey guava that I am going to use my corner rounder to make into a scallop edge.
To make the scallop edge I have to take the guard off the punch.
Then line up the punch, to make the scallop edge.
Here is the finished scallop edge.

I then used my stencil to make bumps in the middle of each scallop.

Hee is the strip with the bumps
And here is my finished card. Sorry the words and bird don't show up more.

I also wanted to show you all the package I am creating for my secret Sister's reveal. I am making up a bag with 3 cards, and here is the card i will be sending. I also got her some ribbon.

And here are some cards I received from friends this week. The first is a Mother's day card from Leslie.
Here is a Mother's Day card from my Upline Jackie.
And here is another card from Leslie for my son's first communion.
