My funny Valentines

Valentines Day is quickly approaching, and I am in the mood for making Valentines projects.
I wanted to share with you a few of these projects.

All of the projects use my current favorite Stampin up paper, Ginger Blossoms. The colors in this paper are Ruby Red, Groovy Guava, and River Rock.

First up is a Frappucinno bottle that I altered. I used strips of paper and sticky strip around the front of the bottle. I then covered the place where the papers meet with one of the images from the So Many Scallops Sale-a-bration set. In the center of the image I added a Ruby red button.
To decorate the top I punched out a circle of the paper and ran it through my Xyron machine. I also put a strip that is about 1/4 an inch around the top. This would make a great gift, but I will be putting mine on my desk at work so my co-workers can share the M&M's.

Next up is my February Calendar page. I used a picture of my husband and son. I used the River Rock as my base and used a large piece of the Ginger Blossom paper across the bottom. I added some of the Groovy Guava Stitched Ribbon, and punched out flowers with my new Boho Punch and some Quickutz Flowers. A few pearls from the Pretties kit decorate the centers. I found some cheap valentines chipboard at Archivers in the 1.99 spot. Unfortunately the pieces were so thin that it was very difficult for me to file the pieces down without them curving! I have been so spoiled by my Stampin Up chipboard, which is very firm. Oh well, you live a learn.

Lastly, on Sunday I took an Iris Class with some friends. I really loved the technique..even though it takes a while to re-create. I knew immediately that I wanted to make a heart card using the Ginger Blossoms paper. So I rushed home and cut out a heart using my Cricut and used a generic pattern from:

All I had to do was lay my design over the Triangle Pattern and follow the numbers. I love how the card came out. I think I will be giving this card to my Mom.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the projects.

Don't forget to sign up for my February Classes!

Sweet frap bottle--TOO cute. Gorgeous calendar page: such great pictures! And I love your card. It looks so intricate. I had the exact same experience with dollar store chipboard--it actually creased. Guess sometimes a deal is not a deal, hey? :0) Mel
